Advice for Road Runners: We're seriously impressed with the updates in the Altra Women's Torin 7 running shoes. If you're fans of the previous edition, we're confident you'll like these even more. The Blue colourway also looks amazing.

Underfoot Feel

The Altra Women's Torin 7 now features an extra 2 millimetres of EGO MAX foam. Altra's most cushioned and plush feeling midsole foam. This means the latest edition feels even softer and more comfortable than the last version.

As the midsole height is the same from heel to forefoot, the thick layer of cushioning feels stable underfoot. This Balanced Cushioning design helps lower the impact of landing.

Upper Fit

While the upper still features a Standard FootShape Fit, the Altra Torin 7 features the following changes:

A redesigned tongue for a plusher feel;
An updated engineered mesh that improves breathability; and
An evolved molded heel collar that locks your ankle in more effectively.

For clarity, the Standard FootShape Fit toe box feels very spacious and lets your toes splay. However, the Original FootShape Fit in the is even broader if you're looking for more space.

Ideal Run Type

Given that the Altra Women's Torin 7 feels soft and plush underfoot, we recommend using them for your slower to steady paced runs. That also means we suggest them for short and long distances.

If you're looking for Altra running shoes that feel great for everyday miles, the Torin 7 are a great option. Lots of runners should find these comfortable for marathon training.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
